RE: NCECA Educational Scholarship – 2019

Each year NC Extension & Community Association, Inc. (ECA) offers educational scholarships to NC youth and adults who are pursuing a college education in North Carolina. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist students in obtaining a degree at any North Carolina college, in any field of study, with priority given to Family and Consumer Sciences. (Part-time students must carry no less than six (6) hours per semester and full-time students must carry no less than twelve (12) hours per semester.) Each of the five North Carolina Cooperative Extension districts award two $800 scholarships, one youth and one adult.

The application criteria include:

  • Activities and Honors – 25%
  • Connection and Involvement with Cooperative Extension Service (NCCES) – 25%
  • Financial Need – 25%
  • Scholarship Potential – 25%

Eligible students are encouraged to apply.
