Description:

In a horse bowl competition, a series of questions are asked to teams of four players. The first team to “buzz-in” with the correct answer receives a point and the team with the most points wins the round. Teams participate in local educational workshops to prepare and compete against teams from across the Northeast region of North Carolina. Teams that perform well enough on the district level, go on to compete for the state title.

Horse Bowl is an enjoyable educational experiences and offer an opportunity for youths, interested in horses, to study and obtain a more thorough knowledge of horses and related subject matter. Staff and volunteers of NC Cooperative Extension in Currituck County work with youth to prepare for these educational contests.

Horse Bowl practice will be held at 6 p.m., at the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center located at 120 Community Way in Barco, NC.
