N.C. Cooperative Extension is pleased to introduce Kayley Brooke Warren as the newest member of the Cleveland County Extension team. Kayley, who began work on October 1, will serve as a Nutrition Education Program Assistant with the Expanded Foods & Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). In this role, she will help limited resource families and youth learn to eat and prepare healthier meals and snacks, reduce the risk of food-borne illness, stretch their food dollars, and become more physically active. The position is funded for two years by NC State University and grant funding from Healthy Together Cleveland.
Kayley attended Burns High School, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Recently she earned an Associates of Applied Animal Science Technology from Cleveland Community College. Kayley is an active and enthusiastic volunteer. She has tutored students at Casar Elementary School in math and has taught kids to swim at YMCA summer camps. She also enjoys horseback riding, reading, and fishing.
