About the Event

Chatham County invites residents to join us for our 4th annual Spring Ag Fest at the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center (CCACC) on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Spring Ag Fest is a celebration of Chatham County’s agriculture, forestry, and natural resources. The event will offer something for everyone: livestock arena events, demonstrations, food, and more.

This event is made possible by the collaborative efforts of the Chatham County Center of N.C. Cooperative Extension, Chatham County Agriculture & Conference CenterChatham County Farm Bureau, Chatham County GovernmentChatham County Soil & Water, Farm Service Agency, and the NC Forest Service.

The Spring Ag Fest is free and open to the public.

Note: For the safety of participants as well as vendors/exhibitors (and their livestock/poultry/etc.), this is not a dog-friendly event so we ask that visitors do not bring their dogs to Ag Fest.

4-H Kids Zone

Come explore the 4-H Kids Zone for the first time at Chatham County Ag Fest this year! Check out the Chatham Experience, sponsored by Quality Equipment, where you can learn about agriculture through an interactive and instructive pathway of fun! Participate in the Ag-Fest-wide Scavenger Hunt Bingo to earn a prize! Learn about the upcoming opportunities with 4-H and the local clubs! Unleash your creativity at the Art Station! Enjoy all this and more!

The Kids Zone event has been canceled due to forecasted rain and wind.

Ready, Set, Grow Agricultural Magic Show

Farmer Ed will entertain the kids with a show that is magical, comical, and full of silly stuff that kids can relate to. Kids will learn about farm life and how food makes it from farm to table. Farmer Ed helps kids understand how important farming is to our lives. There will be three shows inside the conference center directly behind the Kids Zone.

Show times are at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.

The Magic Show is possible thanks to the generous support of the Chatham County Farm Bureau.

Exhibitors & Vendors

A variety of livestock will be on display for an up-close look at the Livestock Arena.

Indoor and outdoor exhibitors and vendors will highlight local farms, farmers’ markets, sustainable agriculture, agricultural support and advocacy, agribusiness, beekeeping, livestock, forestry, green industry, wildlife, conservation, and much more. Visitors will get to meet Smokey Bear and chat with our local forest rangers.

Event Parking

We will have overflow parking at three locations, each with free shuttle service to the Ag Fest at the CCACC:

  • Central Carolina Community College next door to the Agriculture & Conference Center off of US 64 W: shuttle pick-up in front of Building 1
  • Chatham County Justice Center downtown (parking available): shuttle pick-up at crosswalk between Justice Center and Annex Building
  • Downtown Pop-up Park at 50 W. Salisbury Street (limited street parking): adjacent to Pittsboro pop-up park.

Shuttles start at 9:30 a.m. and run until 3:30 p.m.
