The Extension Master Gardener Association (EMGA) of Cleveland County continues to make progress on their plans to create a public garden space to illustrate and teach best landscaping practices, including the selection and care of native, pollinator-friendly and deer-resistant plant materials.
In addition to leading a successful fundraising raffle for garden start-up costs, EMGA received a $5k Gore Innovative Grant from NC State University that will be used to purchase trees, botanical markers, and garden maintenance tools.
